Cheatham County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division
The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office Jail is in charge of housing both male and female inmates charged and convicted of a crime in Cheatham County. The Cheatham County jail has a capacity to house 120 inmates.
There are a total of 23 deputies who work in the Cheatham County Jail on three separate shifts. These officers are in charge of intake, monitoring, and releasing all inmates who are processed through the Jail.

All incoming mail, with the exception of legal mail, will be inspected for contraband prior to being delivered to the inmate. Legal Mail will be delivered unopened to the inmate, who will be required to open the items in the presence of an officer who will verify only that the package contains no contraband.
The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office does not inspect, censor, or review any outgoing mail and therefore is not responsible for anything sent out by inmates housed in the facility.
Inmate Commissary is handled by VendEngine Commissary. Money can be placed on an inmates account via kiosk in the Cheatham County Courthouse or online.
